Who says TV teaches bad habits?

Draya is a big fan of the Treehouse show The Big Comfy Couch. One of the 'bits' in every show is the Ten Second Tidy where Loonette stands on the couch, looks down and says "Who made this big mess?". The camera zooms in on her (usually) and she says "Who? Me? Well then I better clean it up - it's only fair". So, now when there is a big mess in the living room (or elsewhere) I say to Draya "Who made this big mess?" and she says "Who me? Draya? I'll clean it up - it's only fair" and helps me tidy. It's great!
Sometimes she'll even pick up after herself without being asked. A few nights ago we were playing with her little people. I went to work in the computer room and Draya came in a little while later carrying a shoe box full of all of her little toys saying "I cleaned up!".
I am so proud! I wonder how long it will last? :)

Busy Vacation

Mommy & Daddy are on vacation now so Draya is too. Yesterday we all went swimming at the ACT pool. Today Draya helped Mommy bake star shaped tea biscuits. We have been reading LOTS of books, singing & dancing and and playing together. Tomorrow we're going to play with I & G. Next week we'll go to the Fringe!

Carnivale!

Yesterday we took Draya to her first parade. Cariwest! She had a wonderful time dancing to the music and running around in the grass in front of Earls Tin Palace.






Then, Nana came over and they played together in the sandbox. They built roads, houses, a gas station & a store and had great fun running one of Draya's toy trucks around their little town.

Promised Pool & Picnic Photos

On Saturday, July 28 Draya & I went to Nana & Papa's to see Gg'ma & Gg'pa.
Nana inflated Draya's wading pool and we filled it with water.




We went to the playground for a little while.



Then we all enjoyed the pool!




On Sunday, July 29 I & G came over. The girls played in the sandbox and pool and then we had a nice picnic lunch.
