Miss Muffet... by Draya

Last night Draya tucked me into bed, gave me some invisible apple juice and sat down to read me a story...
Draya: (reading from Shopaholic & Baby) Along came a spider, and sat down beside her (turns page) and nothing else happened. The end.

A Draya at Play...

Sometimes Draya likes to play kitty cat. She wanders the house saying "meow, meow". A few weeks ago she even went so far as to insist that I give her a dish of water on the floor. Hey, whatever gets her drinking more water...

That same morning she also played baby in her old playpen. It involves her old sucky, pretending to sleep, and saying "wah". I just wish she took real naps that easily!

This morning she decided to pretend that she was our friend T-L. She lay in our bed (It was the hospital I think) , insisted that I call her T-L and told me that Pink Baby was her new baby.

Christmas & New Year's Eve

The first thing Draya did, after eating breakfast, was unpack her sock.

Finding Nemo! Yay!

Draya read her new Cars book to Pink Baby.

And played happily with Daddy.

Draya was a good girl and ate her lunch at the coffee table

Always helpful, she assisted uncle D when he opened his gifts.

And she really liked her new doll house.

Dinner & Gifts at Nana & Papa's House
G looked on while Draya opened her Dr's kit from Nana.

Later she checked his heartbeat.

And played with her new Shrek & Donkey (Donkey is underneath her)

New Year's Eve - M's Party

Happy New Year

We took Draya to a New Year's Eve party at M's mom's house. Draya had lots of fun playing with I & G and watching videos. We were naughty and kept her up past midnight - but she had had lots of sugar and was still going very strong. We had wanted to sleep over but Draya convinced us to go home instead. We all slept in the next morning and had a quiet New Year's Day. All was good until she got REALLY cranky that night.
On Jan 2 she was back a daycare - still a little tired. Her teacher noticed that she wasn't being herself, that she was "acting her age" (2 & 10 months) as opposed to acting like she's over 3 (as I guess she usually does - yay Draya!)
It was a busy first week back at work for both Mommy & Daddy! Draya, on the other hand, enjoyed theme days at daycare, including " wear jammies & watch movies day" and "bring a toy day". On "bring a toy day" she took her new stuffed Shrek and Donkey. She also insisted that Mommy buckle them both into the car - one on either side of her. It was very cute!
Yesterday E & S & A & M came to visit. Draya was quite entranced by baby M and his toys. She really likes babies.
