Such a little STAR!

Recent Hi-Jinks
When Draya wants to go outside she brings our shoes to us.
The other day she decided to sort the laundry, taking the darks out of the dark hamper in the bathroom and mooving them into the light one. It was especially funny to watch her trying to move my pants.
Yesterday she spilt milk on the bath mat and when I handed her a wad of TP she wiped it up herself.

An afternoon at the zoo

Yesterday L & I took the girls to the zoo. We had lots of fun! We saw elephants, guinea pigs, camels, birds, ring-tailed pandas and more. The older girls enjoyed the petting zoo but I think that Draya would have appreciated more rabbits and smaller animals (it was mostly birds and sheep). We ate hamburgers, hot-dogs, fries and ice cream and all 5 of us managed to fit onto a peddle-boat to sail on the little pond.

Draya was especially excited to see real, live ducks!

She enjoyed riding the carousel and kept saying "whee!" as it went around.

All three of the girls had fun playing on the wooden train.

Draya SAT on a real horse but when it came time to walk around the pony shimmied and scared her so I had to take her off.

She Speaks!

I am pretty sure that Draya said ‘hug’ this morning and then came and gave me a hug. I could have been wrong, she’s a little hard to understand, but in any case it was VERY sweet!
I was talking to my friend T on Tuesday and trying to list all of the words that Draya says. So far she knows…
1. baby
2. mama
3. dada
4. nana (for banana AND for her Nana)
5. dog
6. puppy
7. duck
8. meow (for cat)
9. sushi
10. cheese
11. mine or my
12. shoes
13. no (with a vigorous head shake)
14. whee!
15. hi
16. bye

20. bee (the insect AND beep)

She has also repeated the words: goat & ginger

Recent Accomplishments and Settings

Draya is getting a LOT better at eating with a spoon now. She scoops cottage cheese into her mouth and doesn’t start using her hands until at least half way through the bowl.

Draya has mastered the ‘NO’ head-shake very well but once she gets on a roll she’ll say ‘no’ to anything.

Always a fan of her belly button, Draya current ‘comfort’ position is right thumb in mouth, left hand exploring belly button. It’s cute NOW but we’ll have to wean her off of it eventually.
