Cranky morning

This morning Draya didn't want to put on her pants. She also would't put on a t-shirt to go under her sweater.
She pooped right before it was time to go so mommy had to change her twice this morning (not her fault but it didn't help our time line).
She kept yelling 'diaper, diaper' and pulling the diapers out of her diaper bag to play with while we were trying to leave. She had a fit when mommy took them away and put them back in the bag.
She didn't want to sit in her car seat. And screamed and fought as mommy put her in it.
She didn't want to listen to the car radio and cried and fussed when mommy turned it on. We drove to the Grove in silence.
She took her boots and socks off in the car and refused to let mommy put her boots back on to go into daycare.
Mommy has come to work to escape the baby...

We're having a white living room...

There are many reasons why parents of toddlers shouldn't get absorbed in a video game.
Two words - Kleenex everywhere!!
And it was a full box too!

A Quick and Long Overdue Late Night Update

Life has been busy in Draya's household! There is so much that the little princess/monkey has been up to and so little time. Mommy should really be sleeping but she's currently up late due to a post show/work buzz.
So, here are a few quick updates...
* Draya now speaks using two words together all the time. Her new words are WAY to numerous to mention.
* Our bathing beauty figured out on Wednesday how to blow bubbles in the bath (with her mouth) and how to zerbit the bottom of the tub. Mommy really needs to clean the tub more often now if baby lips are going to be touching it. Draya also zerbited the bathroom floor but mommy quickly put a stop to that!
* Draya likes snow. She likes to dig in it with her shovel and put it into her bucket. Photos coming soon.
* Draya loves to wear either her winter or rubber boots around the house. She can put them on all by herself.
* Today she tried to dress herself. After she was already fully dressed. Photos coming soon.
* Draya thinks she should be able to ride on Ginger's back. Ginger does not agree and slips away quickly each time she tries to climb on.
*After a recent gaming session with L & A one of our Settlers dice was nowhere to be found. So daddy asked "Draya, where is the the dice?". Draya replied "dice, dice, dice", wandered over to her winter boot, turned the boot over, shook it, and out tumbled the missing dice. Lesson learned: if something has disapeared - ask the baby.

Farm Fair Fun

Today Nana & Grandpa took Draya to Farm Fair. They saw bunnies and a pony and ate tiger ice cream. Draya learned that horses go 'neigh' and that their hooves make a clip-clop sound when the walk. She even knows now to click her tongue and make clip-clop sounds when she plays with her new toy horsie.

Happy Belated Halloween

Draya had LOTS of fun at Halloween Hoopla in SpGr on Tuesday night.
Daddy was working the event (teaching juggling) so Mommy chased her everywhere. Mommy was VERY tired when the evening was over!
There was a cookie decorating station and Draya decorated and ate the icing and sprinkles off of two cookies.
She bounced in the bouncy tent four times and the attendants only had to go in and fish her out when her turn was over twice. As they were closing it down she desperately wanted another go - crying "Again, Again!"
In the Ronald McDonald Activity Zone Draya enjoyed the colouring tables and the flip-lid garbage cans. She kept picking up litter (and crayons) to throw out in them. She also liked the mini-golf and kept trying to steal the balls and walk on the edges of the mini greens while other kids putted. She also loved the loud music that the zone was playing and kept standing in the middle of everything to dance by herself.
She fearlessly entered the inflatable maze but had to exit early because the big kids were a little overwhelming.
The wee fairy princess was too small to slide on the giant blow-up slide. This frustrated her a great deal so she ran around backstage and in the TLC foyer instead.
